Ravi Thanvi is a Principal in KKR’s Asia-Pacific Infrastructure team, based in Mumbai. He currently manages KKR’s energy investments in India. He has over 13 years of experience across private equity and investment banking, with a focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors in India and Southeast Asia.
Prior to KKR, Ravi spent six years at Actis playing a key role in building their energy and infrastructure businesses in India and Southeast Asia. He helped Actis invest US$1 billion in the region across renewables, gas and toll roads. Before Actis, Ravi worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and HSBC, where he advised multinational clients on M&A and strategic fundraising for investments in India.
Ravi holds a master’s degree in mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT-KGP), and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A).
